Last Minute Sales

Hello all! Christmas is almost here and I have just learned that I am a statistic. According to the National Retail Federation, 40% of Christmas sales happen on December 15 through 24th. This is me, exactly! Go ahead, call me a procrastinator, lol. I know it’s true.

What is my point here? There is still time for some last minute sales if you want them.

Pick and post some last minute holiday sales and put them up on your website. And you might consider sending an email to your past customers inviting them to buy now with all your sales (more on this in a future post).

People are buying even when they know they have waited too long for the item to arrive on-time. Just be sure to let them know right up front it will not arrive in time for Christmas.

Your customers may be searching for the perfect gift and finally find it on your site, increasing your sales even more. They will be shopping for all the winter holidays that they celebrate and they will appreciate you offering your last minute deals just for them.

So, happy posting and may you and your families have safe and happy holidays!

How to create Featured Items for your shop!

Featured products make promoting specific items quick and easy! Let’s take a look at how you can promote specific items on your site to make it easy for your customers to see the item you most want them to buy.

As always we start in our website Dashboard, so type your website address into your web browser and then add /wp-admin to the end. This takes you to the login page for your Dashboard. Login and let’s get started.

Now on the left side menu, select Products >> All Products so we can begin turning on a few Featured Products.

Have you by chance noticed those stars over toward the right on each row of all your products?

Prepare to be amazed at how simple this is, just move your mouse over one of those stars and then click your left mouse button one time. Wait a moment. Now you’ll notice the star went from hollow to a solid star like this:

Seriously, that is all there is to creating featured products. Just find the products you want to be ‘featured’ and click the respective star. Don’t get too crazy though, it is not a good idea to overwhelm your customers so stick to between 12 to 16 at most and no less than 4.
